isn't it wierd that .wsx files never exceed the 32K limit?
and why is it that this download starts without having to wait?
nice one huh?
this is because all files less than or equal to 32,767 bytes start immediately

HASH 2 DIE FOR

got a hash of a file your looking for?
well, there are two ways to find that particular file:
1) enter the hash code in the title field of the search window
it must look like this:
HASH>1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef-32768
make sure you choose all connection types & all file types
filling in the artist field is not needed
note you must do this every time you restart winmx
2) creat a file of 0 bytes (untitled.txt) and rename it like this:
__INCOMPLETE___I can create my own incomplete files!1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef00008000.txt
2 leading underscores, incomplete in capitals, 3 trailing underscores
followed by a name you are free to choose
end the filename with 32+8=40 hexadecimal numbers (0-9-a-f) with
the first 32 characters the same as the 32 found between HASH> and - in method 1)
and the last 8 character the hexadecimal representation of the complete file size
in this case 32768 decimal -> 00008000 hexadecimal
choose an appropriate extension to be able to preview the file

FOR EVER INCOMPLETE

got @ngry because find sources doesn't seem to work?
them clear your download list till you have say about 25 files left
wait for them to complete, and add cleared files to fill up to 25 incomplete files again
set all ya DLs to AFS-10 and AEQ-100 so they will get started
if you have more than 25 files in your transfer window, it will take 25 * 15 = a lot of minutes for auto find sources to cycle the list
you'll never find sources that way!!!
stay below 30 no matter what, if the number drops too low, press Load Incomplete and clear till you have 25 left again
this will save you a LOT of wait time

you get cancelled everytime or DLs won't start @ all?

I WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED

rare large files are VERY hard to get complete
by the time it's your turn to download from that nice person he disconnects
or you get timeout after timeout and lost him
the problem is that most people don't know they must set max no of uploads to 5 or 10
some even use the 0 of 0 available cheat - well screw them
devide your available upload bandwidth in such a way you upload at least at 1K/s
do not go below 3 simultanous uploads, nor go above 10
so if you have 256kbit up, you have 256/8=32K/s up, set max no of uploads to 8 so everyone gets 4K/s
as long as everybody does this, you get guaranteed short wait times and you will download files more easily
it is better to download slowly than not to download at all
and besides that because it is easier to start downloading, think of how soon the available sources for that file could be doubled!

some people don't understand that one has to share in order to participate in a trading community
don't move your recently completed files to a dir you do not share
share good stuff & share large stuff & share all stuff you have - whatever your HD can take
so you doing tha right thing and find some leech is trying to get his hands on your honest earned files?
don't message him and don't tell him what to do - a leech knows perfectly well what he's doing

just ask him or her what to trade - or become trade friends

give friends more bandwidth, but do not cancel your current uploads

besides the lousy connection failures & bugs there are also users staying only for only 1 hour or so

if you don't find it today you'll find it tomorrow
if it DLs too slow, so what, @ least your DLing it!

some people love polluting the p2p network with fake files & small banners
remember their names, write down their IPs and publish were they live
this is no place for noobs thinking trading is illegal
stop sharing fake files ya saboture
and remember to PREVIEW your DLs (by copying tha file to a temp dir)

CARE 4 RARE

rare files are hard to get but
not when your online all-day, all-week, all-month
not when you use more than one p2p client (if you have enough bandwidth that is)
not when you find someone with the same interrests as you
not when you share your incomplete rare files (so other user DL it and will help you finding it)
